On Tuesday, the Flint Hamady Hawks (4-0, GAC-B) defeated the Detroit Martin Luther King Crusaders (1-4, DPSL) by a score of 71-58.

The game got off to an even start. The Hawks and Crusaders traded baskets and swapped the lead. At the 3:10 point of the quarter, the Hawks took an 11-9 lead, and they would hold that lead for the rest of the game.

Hamady pulled ahead in the second quarter. They dominated both offensively and defensively, outscoring the Crusader 21-7 just in the second quarter, leading by 18 points at one point.

The Hawks continued their success throughout the rest of the game. There were points in the second half where King made runs to tie it, even getting the deficit to single digits a couple of times. However, each time, the Hawks swooped in and built their lead back up, leading them to a 71-58 victory.

Kobie Boose and Lamont Green-Torbert had big games for Hamady. Boose had 24 points on the night while Green-Torbert had 16.

Flint Hamady will face Flint Kearsley (2-2, FML-Stripes) on 1-5 as they seek to continue their success and remain undefeated. King will take on Detroit Southeastern (1-4, DPSL) as they look to get a win against a division rival.
