Lumberjacks Chop Down Douglass in Big Victory

On Tuesday afternoon, the Saginaw Arthur Hill Lumberjacks (4-3, SVC) defeated the Douglass Hurricanes (2-3, DPSL) by a score of 64-44. 

The first half of the game was close. Douglass and Arthur Hill traded buckets and the lead for much of the first sixteen minutes of play. At one point in the second quarter, Douglass held a five-point lead. 

The Lumberjacks took the lead on a free throw with just under three minutes left in the half. They ended the second quarter with an 8-0 run, giving them a 30-22 lead at the half. 

The rest of the game, Arthur Hill held this lead and refused to give it up. They dominated the second half, outscoring Douglass 34-22 and securing themselves a 64-44 victory. 

Lyna Brooks, Diouaucidus Hardy, and Dequarion Terry. Brooks was 7 of 14 from the floor, including 2 of 5 from long range. He has 16 points, 1 steal, and 6 rebounds. 

Hardy shot 8 of 13 from the field, including 1 of 1 from three and 0 of 2 from the free throw line. He had 17 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. 

Terry went 3 of 5 from the field, including 0 of 1 from three and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. He had 13 points, 1 steal, and 2 rebounds. 

Arthur Hill will try to continue their winning ways as they face Flint Beecher (3-0, GAC-Red) on 1-7. Douglass will look to get one in the win column as they play Detroit Osborn (0-5, DPSL) on 1-6.
