Panthers Win Metro Division

On Friday night, the River Rouge Panthers (14-6, MMAC-Black) defeated the Hamtramck

Cosmos (12-7, MMAC-Black) by a score of 76-60.

Rouge never once trailed in this game. From the start of the game, River Rouge was in control.

They came out firing on all cylinders and quickly built a lead. The Panther took a 15-9 lead into

the second half.

River Rouge continued their dominance in the second quarter. No matter what Hamtramck did,

Rouge had an answer. For the most part, they never allowed the Cosmos to get back into the

game. The led 35-21 at the half.

In the third quarter, Hamtramck made things interesting. At the end of the quarter, the Cosmos

went on a 10-0 run, cutting the deficit down to 8. But in the final seconds, Rouge scored, making

it a 55-45 game going into the fourth.

In the fourth, the Panthers really dominated. They outscored the Cosmos 21-15. They outplayed

Hamtramck and dashed any hope of a comeback. River Rouge went on to win by a score of 76-

60. Memphis McDowell was named the G of the Game. With this victory, River Rouge won the

Metro conference.

There is no game scheduled for River Rouge at the time of writing this. Hamtramck will be

playing Harper Woods Chandler Park (12-3, CSC-East) on 2-25.
