On Wednesday, the Mumford Mustangs (3-4, DPSL) defeated the Harper Woods Pioneers (4-2, OAA-White) by a score of 69-60.

The game started with Mumford going on an 8-0 run, not missing a shot during that run. Once Harper Woods got on the board, they fought back. In fact, Harper Woods both trailed by 8 and led by 7 just in the first quarter. The Pioneers took a 20-15 lead into the second.

Mumford marched back in the second, outscoring the Pioneers 21-10 and giving themselves a 36-30 lead going into halftime.

The third quarter was well fought. Both teams traded baskets and the Pioneers came close to tying the game, coming to within 2 points. But the Mustangs had an answer and held off Harper Woods.

This even play continued into the fourth quarter. Mumford was able to hold on to their lead and win by a score of 69-60. It is important to note that the point differential in the second half was 3 points in favor of Mumford.
