Marine City Cardinal Mooney and Divine Child set to square off in game two of CHSL semifinal

For game two, Mike Rice and 16-7 Marine City Cardinal Mooney will take on Dan Deegan and Dearborn Divine Child, who is 14-6 on the year, at 2 P.M. ET.
Mooney will send out junior Blake Lutzy to start. The right hander utilizes a fastball that reaches the upper 70s with a spin rate that is at around 2,100 along with a curveball and a changeup. In game two against Everest, he pitched seven innings and gave up no runs and struck out a monstrous total of 15 batters.
On the other side for Divine Child, Grand Valley commit Owen Avery will be on the rubber to start. The senior has a fastball that reaches the lower 90s along with a curveball and a changeup. This season he has two wins recorded along with 58 Ks and a .83 ERA.
Two batters to keep an eye out in this matchup are senior Jack Zang for DC and junior Oakland commit Trent Rice for Mooney. The first baseman and left handed pitcher Zang went 3-3 with 5 RBIs against Bishop Foley.
On the hand, the outfielder and right handed pitcher Rice went 2-4 with a triple and three stolen bases against Greenhills.
