Cody Win PSL Unified Title

On Sunday, Detroit Cody defeated Detroit Central in the PSL Unified title game by a score of
30-29.
This was not an ordinary game in that the players on both teams were special needs. This game
allowed these players to get recognition that they may not normally get.
The first quarter was incredibly close. Detroit Cody had the slight advantage, outscoring Detroit
Central 8-6 in the quarter.
In the second quarter, Detroit Central answered. They were determined to have the lead come
halftime, and that is what they did. They outscored Cody 6-3 and took a 12-11 lead into the half.
The third quarter once again saw Cody with the advantage. After coming into the second half
down by one, they outscored Central 10-8 and led 21-20 going into the fourth.
The final quarter was dead even. Both teams scored 9 points, allowing Cody to hold on to their
lead and win 30-29. With the victory, Detroit Cody were crowned the PSL Unified champions.
