In a very highly anticipated matchup, the undefeated #1 team in the country, the Eaglets, will head to Grosse Pointe to take on the second ranked team in the state, the Knights.

For the double header today, the Eaglets will send out senior Clemson commit Brock Porter for game one.

Porter, a projected top pick in the MLB draft, is one of the best pitching prospects in the entire country. Last time out, he no hit now #4 ranked Brother Rice. He was one walk shy of a perfect game.

For game two, sophomore Parker Brzustewicz will be on the bump.

The right hander will be making his second start of the year. Brzustewicz has a fastball that reaches the mid 80s along with a 12/6 curveball and a changeup. He has two wins on the season and 15 strikeouts.

For the Knights, Kurt Barr and Jack Jones will try to end St. Mary’s nine game win streak this season.

Barr, the right handed Michigan commit, will start in game one. He has a fastball that reaches 90 mph with a 2300 spin rate. He pairs his fastball with a curveball that sits in the mid 70s. The senior has one win and 12 strikeouts on the early season.

For game two, Jones, the junior Michigan State commit, will get the start. His fastball hangs around the mid 80s. He also features a curveball and a slider in his pitching arsenal.

A player to watch at the plate for St. Mary's Prep. will be junior Michigan State commit Ryan McKay. The middle infielder is batting .500 on the season with 13 RBIs.

On the other hand, for Liggett, junior Michigan commit Jarren Purify will be one that the Eaglets will have to keep an eye on. In game one of their doubleheader against Richmond, the middle infielder went 1-3 with a run and a stolen base.

The Knights, who sit at 3-1 on the season, will look to pull off an upset and spoil St. Mary’s perfect season. First pitch is at 4 P.M. ET and the link to the broadcast can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUjsSUBzU9o
