Friday night, Belleville (3-0, KLAA East) took on Churchill (1-2, KLAA East) in front of a home crowd. Last Season, Churchill handed Belleville their only loss of the season. It is safe to say that the Tigers got their revenge. The reigning D1 state champions blew out the Chargers by a score of 59-8.

The Tigers got off to a quick start, scoring 52 seconds into the game. Quarterback Bryce Underwood found Dennis Crawford for a 73-yard touchdown reception. After a successful 2-point conversion, the Tigers took an 8-0 lead.

Not long after, the Tigers would find the endzone again. Dennis Crawford would rush 23 yards for his second touchdown of the game. After another successful 2-point conversion, Belleville made it 16-0.

Churchill would find the endzone near the end of the first quarter. Messiah Amerson would carry the ball 2 yards for the touchdown. A Charger 2-point conversion would cut the Tiger lead in half.

The Tigers would score again before the end of the first quarter. Andre Thomas would rush the ball 38 yards and make it a 22-8 game. The 2-point conversion was unsuccessful. That is where the score would remain after the first quarter.

Around four minutes into the second quarter, the Tigers would extend their lead. Jeremiah Beasley would rush the ball 16 yards, and after another 2-point conversion, Belleville would take a 30-8 lead.

Just over four minutes later, Beasley would find the endzone again following a 13-yard run. This extended their lead to 38-8 with around 3 minutes left in the half.

Jerimiah Beasley was not done. With seconds left in the half, Bryce Underwood would find Beasley for a 2-yard pass, giving the Tigers a 45-8 lead at halftime.

The third quarter did not see any scoring until there was 5 minutes left in the third. Underwood would find Dennis Crawford for a 2-yard pass, adding insult to injury and extending their lead.

The Tigers would score one final time in the game. With a little less than 10 minutes left in the game, Tigers QB Joshua Putman would find Nasir Dais for a 14-yard pass, extending the Tiger lead to 51 points.

The G’s of the Game, presented by GBrand USA, were given to Bryce Underwood and Jeremiah Beasley. Underwood had 18 passes for 144 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 5 rushes for 113 yards. Beasley had 7 rushes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 2-yard reception for a touchdown. All three of his touchdowns were scored in the second quarter and they were scored consecutively.

Next Friday, Belleville will look to remain undefeated against Memorial (0-3, KLAA East). The Chargers will take on their city rivals, Livonia Franklin (3-0, KLAA East) as they look to end their two-game losing streak.
