On Friday night, the Belleville Tigers (2-0, KLAA East) will be taking on the Churchill Chargers (1-1, KLAA East) in the third game of the season.

This will be Belleville’s home opener. Belleville won the D1 state championship last season, having an impressive 13-1 record. Their only loss was to Churchill, so they will be looking to get some revenge.

The two teams have faced off four times in history. Belleville has won three of four, with the one loss being last year.

Belleville is currently ranked second in the state according to The Prep. They are second only to De La Salle.

One player to look out for is Belleville quarterback Bryce Underwood. As a sophomore, he already has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Pitt just to name a few.

The game will be played at Belleville on Friday and coverage will begin live on The Prep YouTube and NFHS at 6:45 with a 7:00 kickoff.
