In the final game of the regular season at the Wayne State Fieldhouse, the Motor City Cruise were playing for a more favorable playoff seed while the Cleveland Charge were playing for pride.

The Charge came into the game on a six game losing streak, a three game losing streak to the Cruise this season, and no playoff aspirations, but that did not stop RJ Nembhard Jr, Kyle Guy and Jordan Allen from leaving it all out on the floor. The three headed monster combined for 87 of the team's 106 points, with Nembhard Jr accounting for 42 of them alone.

For the Cruise, it was a group effort as six scorers had over 10 points, with the leader of the pack being the big man inside Cheick Diallo. He finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds to go along with his 10 buckets.

The Cruise started out hot, maintaining a 10 point lead after the first quarter, but the Charge steadily made their way back into the game with a 34-26 second quarter and a 30-26 3rd quarter.

In the end though, the Cruise were just too much for the Charge, who only gave about six of their players legitimate minutes. They outscored them 34-20 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

The Cruise lived by the three ball today as they attempted 34 from long range and nailed 17, shooting at a 50 percent clip.

The highlight of the night came from Jamarko Pickett, who drove to the rim and slammed one home off of a slick find by Derrick Walton Jr.

The dunk counted for two of Pickett’s 14 points and one of Walton Jr. 's nine assists.

With the loss, the Charge’s season comes to an end. They only won six of their 32 games on the season.

With the win, and loss from the Capital City Go Go's tonight, the Cruise now have sole possession of the second seed and will earn a first round bye in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket. Their next game and first playoff game will be at home on Friday.
